Beans in Bone Broth

I love beans and I love bone broth, and cooking one in the other just makes sense

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • ½ lb Pinto Beans
  • 500 ml Shorba Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1 tsp Coarse Salt
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • Pinch of Red Chile Flakes

Instructions
 

  • Soak the beans overnight with a large pinch of salt
  • In the morning pour the beans and their water into a medium pot
  • Add the bay leaves, chile flakes, more salt if needed and the broth
  • Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer
  • Test the beans for doneness every half hour and top up with water as needed to keep them submerged
