The simplest, most effective way to improve gut health, fast

Friends, hello and happy new year! The blog/ newsletter has been quiet for the past couple of months, but I am back because a resolution I made this New Year’s is to connect with you all more. Not in an annoying ugh-another-brand-spam way, but more so in a conscientious and, if I may, supportive way.

I would like to start off by offering one super simple and easy new year’s resolution for you. If you are following us on Instagram (@shorbabonebroth) then you’ve definitely heard me say this in posts, Stories, Reels AND IGTV because I truly believe it is one of the simplest yet possibly single-most effective way to improve your gut health – stop drinking cold water and start hydrating with warm water. That’s it. Really. Ayurveda teaches us that the core of overall health lies within our gut, in our “digestive fire” or “agni”. Cold water and beverages dampen the agni and hence our ability to assimilate and digest our food. Warm water and herbal teas (tulsi and ginger are excellent for this time of year!) sipped slowly through the day keep the digestive fire stoked and ready for optimal digestion. On the most recent Reel I made (yet again) about this on Instagram, a follower commented, “I switched to warm and hot water after a previous video of yours, I’m totally addicted and staying more hydrated!”. Folks, this is the type of comment I live for. So go on, try it, get addicted and thank me later 🙂
